The Wealth Divide

Challenge: The Tipping Point Community, a poverty-fighting non-profit, wanted to help cynical Bay Area residents open their minds to the possibility that poverty can be solvable, it is a governmental policy choice, and it may be closer in proximity than most people may realize.

Inspiration: Life in the Bay gets romanticized, but some live extravagantly while others struggle to even meet their basic daily needs.

Idea: In this unproduced concept, we’re re-sensitizing the Bay’s wealthy residents to the poverty issue that they ignore every day by highlighting how the trappings of wealth can hide the realities of poverty.
