Shake Up Your Summer
Challenge: Increase syrup sales while proving that Hershey’s has more to offer consumers in the summer than s’mores.
Inspiration: The extreme milkshake or “freakshake” trend presented the perfect opportunity for us to show the versatility of Hershey’s Syrup beyond chocolate milk and ice cream sundaes.
Idea: We partnered with Hershey’s Kitchens, Breyer’s Ice Cream and Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer to create five custom milkshake recipes featuring Hershey’s syrup and toppings.
Results: Syrup sales increased by $1 million and key merchandising unit sales went up 22.7% over the previous year.
